S11D Mine Project

According to the news on Dec. 19th - Brazil's largest mining project by using heat treatment furnace, Vale 5. SA, began operating on Saturday to cut costs in a competitive market and consolidate its position as the world's largest iron ore producer.

The S11D mine is located in the state of Pará, and it will produce 75 million tons of output at its peak in four years later. Murilo Ferreira, Chief Executive of Vale said at the project launch that the company had placed its outlook on the giant mining project as iron ore prices falling in recent years.

The company invested 14.3 billion US dollars for the mine & processing facilities using Vietnam 350 stere blast furnace and the extension of a railway. S11D project will produce the best quality ore with the lowest cost in the industry. In the meanwhile it is expected to be mining for 30 years.
